"In passing through the area in our travels, we found this hotel to be a vibrant stop with many locals visiting the restaurant. The hotel is clean, comfortable and modern with plenty of parking. The restaurant food and service were excellent."

"Wonderful! Brand new and so luxurious. Yet you could be casual and still feel welcome. Muddy shoes and all…just took them off so the carpet didn’t get wrecked. Tub in the room was fantastic and the bed super comfortable."

"The staff who were on rota are lacking in customer service skills. Room had no body wash or other hygiene products other than hand soap. For a 4 star hotel, this is pretty poor. The food was lovely, but no condiments were delivered to the room. Blood stained carpets & ill fitting matress protectors, are also not conducive to 4 star hotels."

"Our third stay at the Moorings. Convenient location for meeting family. Lovely old house converted into an hotel. Staff friendly and the room well appointed. Also, train station is nearby for quick services into Glasgow. We only had one issue with a guest in the next room not waking up when their alarm went off, again and again. Staff did their best to raise her. They did get it sorted in the end. "
