"The Black Eagle Hotel and Spa is a wonderful place to go when you just want to completely zone out. I spent a couple of nights here and found the atmosphere incredibly relaxing. There were plenty of opportunities to lounge by the pool, enjoy the beautiful gardens, and truly not feel the need to go anywhere at all. The on-site restaurant was a great convenience, and the food was excellent."

"We had a lovely view of the dam day and night, night view was a personal favourite. The staff were super helpful, friendly and accommodating. We were unfortunate to have had same booking as a wedding for that weekend, so there was a fair bit of noise and activity so we didn't get to enjoy tranquility of the place until our last full day there. I could definitely see myself going back to La Montagne for a quiet getaway"

"It was an excellent place to stay. The bed was warm and comfortable. All the amenities included an A/C, heater, safe, etc. Incredible South African hospitality. Great breakfast in the morning with incredible tasting Omelette made to your preference. The property is nice, with a beautiful garden. Did I mention the great hospitality? They are the best host of people. Cudos to the Owner, Chris, and the manager, Allison. My stay at Highgrove made the trip to South Africa more enjoyable. "
