"日没を見ながら温泉を楽しみたいと思いこの宿に。日中から雨混じりの天気で日没が見えるか不安でしたが、風呂に入ったときはかろうじて海の向こうの左端に夕日が見えました。露天ではないのでガラス越しに外の景色が見られます。夕食は食事なしプランだったので近くの評判の回転寿司屋で特上握りをテイクアウトしました。それと村上名物、鮭の酒浸しと日本酒。最高です。翌朝はホテル前の海岸ロードを軽くジョギング、汗を流して温泉。快適でした。"

Don’t be freighted by all the intense instruction

"I was rather intimidated by this listing considering how automotated the whole process is. It’s all done with thorough written instruction and an iPad at check-in/out. I felt like I was doing a scavenger hunt on The Amazing Race or something. Stay the course and read everything carefully. My stay was even better than I anticipated considering how in-human the process was. Clean, big, safe comfortable room. The walls are thin, so being quiet using headphones is most polite. Try not to use the washing machine too late. You’re about a fifteen minute hike from the Toyosaka train station which in turn is like a half hour train ride from Niigata. It’s a great room, space and amenities for the price. And there are good places to eat in town. Don’t be freighted by all the intense instruction. It’ll pay off! Would definitely return. "

"It was a nice stay. There are some great features to this place. It's beautiful, has great updated amenities, and it's perfect for a relaxing trip. However, the website was hard for me to use and it was difficult to get anyone on the phone who speaks English. This made booking a room difficult, as well a working out some details of my stay. It was also kind of boring place to stay. Most clients were families with babies or older couples. Nobody spent time in the lounge/ bar at night, only for coffee in the morning prior to checkout. The restaurant was good, but not amazing. I had better meals at some home stays in the area. If you're looking for something very cozy, quiet, and standard hotel experience, this is for you. If you want something a little more fun, with great food and still have a relaxing time, there are better options. "
