"I took entirely too long to write this review due to all the moving parts of the holidays, however - I cannot recommend this home, location, and host enough! He took the time to decorate for us because we were doing an early gift exchange with our grandbaby, left a fireplace on the tv, set up lights outside, and prepared the home for an absolute beautiful welcome! "My family and I stayed at this home for Thanksgiving, and although the house is a bit dated, we absolutely loved being there. It truly felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, the spacious front and back yards, and the beautiful, large kitchen. Some of our family joined us both on Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and everyone loved spending time in the backyard by the lake. We would have gone kayaking right from the property, but it was a little too cold during our stay.The owner was amazing and kindly allowed us to check in early. Rachel, the host, was very accommodating and communicated with us so well. Whatever we needed, she was there—quick to answer both calls and text messages.Our 3 days in Jacksonville for Thanksgiving were truly wonderful. We’re already looking forward to our next family gathering, and we will definitely stay at this home again if it’s available. Thank you to both the owner and the host for making our stay so special. "

"This place was very clean! Wonderful bed. The only thing that we didn’t like was that you couldn’t look at the TV from the bedside. Lovely neighborhood. "

"Interior is nicely appointed, comfortable beds and a nice pool and surrounding deck. I love the area as Boone Park is within a short walk as well as the shops/restaurants on St. Johns Avenue."

"We are great fans of Lynyrd Skynyrd so we were willing to spend 400 to stay the night in such an iconic place where the kids grew up. We were disappointed to see that there was no effort to include stories of the actual experiences that took place in the home (ie: who's room was who's, favorite meals, activities, singing as young kids, sitting around the fireplace, who picked on who, parents jobs, odd jobs of the boys, kinds of vehicles they drove, kinds of trouble they got into around the house, first song they wrote as kids, etc). There is an aunt who wrote in the guest book who welcomes any questions. The owners should call her to collect some stories to be posted on the walls. We would also suggest a few fixes like wallpaper falling down, a fresh coat of paint in places, possibly replacing the refer that is covered in rust, replacing the kitchen seat covers that are covered in stains, new towels and an actual curtain or shades behind the bed. You can keep the authenticity but make the stay a little more inviting and comfortable."

"The property manager was extremely attentive to our needs. Courtesy was so refreshing and the response time to every request was phenomenal. One regret is that I did not get his name; it would be inserted here. He should be recognized for his care and efficiency."
