"The nicest staff ever! Location is super convenient to two bus stops. It's loud at night until 11/12, but that's to be expected, so bring earplugs if noise bothers you. "
"We hiked Stoos and this was a great location. All the trail signs in the nearby hills were so lovely. Pricey to eat here, but that is all of Switzerland. A great stop! "
"A beautiful peaceful retreat. Absolutely loved this place. Planned on one night, stayed for three. Don't ever want to leave. Spa facilities are amazing and rejuvenating. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful."

10/10 Excellent
"Was on a family trip with three teenagers. The adjoining family suite was perfect. Very convenient right across from the train station and everything worth seeing in the town was walkable. Safe, clean, great staff, and restaurant on site."
"I had a wonderful stay at the Cascada Hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful and genuinely friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with items that made traveling easier and more comfortable. The location is also fantastic—just a short 6-minute walk to Lucerne’s charming Old Town. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!"
"Some of the rooms used to be prison cells. Pretty cool. Our room seemed very new, simple, but clean. We were able to walk to the train easily. We also walked to the Lion Monument, the Watchtowers, the river and shopping."
"The hotel was located opposite the lake and an easy walk or short bus ride into the centre of town. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The terrace was a lovely space for a evening drink with great views."
"Really lovely hotel in a great location. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Good facilities across the sites. Only two small negatives, no fridge in the room and the signage, particularly on where restaurants were/how to access them was confusing."
"This was an excellent hotel , we had a family room , which consisted of a separate single bed and a king bed in the very large lounge area , and 2 separate bathrooms , the balconies looked out onto both the lake and sideways at the hills , the only thing it didn’t have was air conditioning, but they did provide fans in both rooms , it was over 30 degrees for our visit , so not sure if that’s normal , we used the restaurant for one evening meal and the food was lovely , and one member of staff went above and beyond , explaining in English what things were , not sure if her name . The receptionist that greeted us was also fantastic, even lent us an adapter as I did not realise Switzerland had a different plug adapter to the uk , the lake area had lots of sunloungers , a bar and you could swim in the lake from some steps ,would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone "
"We have stayed in some pretty special places but the Grand National Hotel has been right at the top of them. The staff, especially Tim Oberli in the front office, was attentive and helpful. We would definitely recommend a stay here. "
