"This place was very disappointing. It has the air of a place going out of business. The staff didn't seem to care about the condition of it, and there was a charge for absolutely everything. For a surf camp it was surprising that there was no beach or area to surf by the property. They also didn't seem to be keen to teach surfing it's only for established surfers, which then have to pay $50 a day to surf. The property itself was the biggest let down. "Beautiful resort. We stayed in a Lagoon bure which was beautiful, spacious and modern. The staff were wonderful. They couldn't do enough for us and all with a laugh and a smile. Great atmosphere at the Fish bar, having a few drinks by the pool and watching the sunset. I can only say good things about this place, with one exception. It was cut short by bouts of food poisoning. Two bouts for me and one for my wife. This cut our holiday short as we dealt with the unpleasant consequences and a difficult journey home. I would expect in a 5 star resort that 'being careful what we ate' would not be applicable."

"The property was wonderful. The rooms are large, well appointed, comfortable, and beautiful. We enjoyed the plunge pool, outdoor lounging area, beachside room, outdoor shower, tasty coffee in the room, rain shower, complementary beauty items, nightly turn down service with chocolates and stories to read, and so much more. The staff goes above and beyond to greet you and memorize your name. They go out of their way to accommodate your needs throughout the day. We did not get a chance to check out the spa. I did put in a last minute request but they didn’t get back to me till after we’d left. However, to their credit, since it was raining lots of people booked the spa."

"Always go for a beach-front villa if you can - waking up to views of the lapping waves is delightful. Other villas back onto the walkway so can be a little less private as people walk past your door The water pressure in teh shower was very low however that could be to be expected on a remote island and wasn't a huge issue. The water was always warm/hot as you need."

"We had a great time, unforunately we came during a fluke of poor weather but still made the most of it. Staff were amazing and kind, they remembered my daughters name alot. We didnt use nanny or kids club but can tell they are grest with kiddos. We used kids club facilities but stayed with her during poor weather. Toba bar and grill has a STAR staff member Kinny. She was absolutely wonderful and showed so much generosity and kindness to my little one. She always looked after us and went above and beyond. Kinny is exceptional. Adi at kids club and the leisure area to collect towels was also so beautiful and always remembered us. Staff are just welcoming from the moment you enter. The club lounge staff were also wonderful to us and to my little one making sure she was happy and comfortable. I wish I remembered all their names but they were great."

"Great place to relax and the staff were friendly, although there was a strong sense of going through the motions. When the wind picked up water activities were cancelled and there wasn’t much else to do, and the noise was loud in the ocean villa when the wind picked up above 15 knots. No queues for food service which is well managed, with the food being decent, but not a huge amount of variety as you’d expect with one dining option on the Island. The Purple Turtle water taxi team who handle transfers and tours from the island were a great - really engaging."
