This is a clean and comfortable hotel connected to Nagoya station (Kintetsu and Meitetsu) via an underground shopping mall with many eateries and shops. This makes it extremely convenient to find dining options and also a good choice for travellers using Nagoya as a base to travel to the surrounding regions by train. The breakfast spread was also very good, providing ample options from both Japanese and Western spreads. Even though the room is situated above the main road in front of Nagoya station, noise was never a problem and the room was always sufficiently quiet to allow for a good rest. Highly recommend this hotel!

We were very happy that the hotel offer very yummy mini cakes for celebrating the birthday. The location is perfect and quite near the JR and MEITETSU stations. I could save lots of time and easy to find nice restaurants nearby. When I visit Nagoya, I would stay in this hotel. The breakfast was very nice and value for money.

Although the hotel itself was dated, the staff was very professional and helpful with my special requests. The location near Nagoya station makes it a convenient hub for a stay in this city.

Very conveniently located and tidy hotel

Great location with a great view out of our room. This hotel is connected via the underground passage to a series of large malls as well as the Nagoya JR and subway stations. The room is a little aged but a worthy trade for the location and price.

We only stayed here for our last night. The location was very convenient and the bed was comfortable. The AC was centrally-controlled and set to heat so we did have to open the window, but we were able to receive an electric fan from the front desk. The modular bathroom was basic and parts of the bathroom and room did have clumps of dust. The bathroom amenities were not great, especially for the price range we got our room. The hotel floor did have a water dispenser and vending machine that included alcoholic beverages, which was a nice convenience.

It's location directly at Nagoya station is ideal. The JR, Meitetsu and Kintetsu and Subway lines are all reachable within 5 minutes on foot.

Location is excellent. Near all kind of transit. A department store and a supermarket are in the same building. There are a lot of restaurants and shops. The room is big. The only minor thing to improve is on the bed. There is usually a sheet under the comforter but I did not see it and the pillows had bad smell.

One of hotels we can walk in a few minutes from Nagoya Station and it’s very convenient for dining & shopping. Stayed there with my two kids and A room with triple beds worked us great! They have good amenity like bathrobe, toothbrush, razor , hair brush and so on. Most good thing was water server is in each floor! We loved staying there for sure! Too sad the hotel will close next year after long years served.

The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The transportation options were very convenient, with bus stops located on the 3rd and 4th floors, and a railway station at B1. The only drawback was its proximity to the station, as it got very noisy whenever a train passed by.

No slipper !!

location is very nice close to the Kintetsu station. But there is no slipper in the room , only plastic bag there is no slipper inside. Why? I will bring my slipper at next stay in Nagoya.

As with small hotels in Japan you do not raise expectations on space. Equally the Meitetsu Grand is small but practical with everything in place. The major plus is the super great location in the prime heart of train, bus station and shopping malls, food options. On top of that it has options for self washing/drying clothes which is must have in summer if you are on a longer stay. The service is another strong point of this hotel. You make a request or maintenance call and it is fixed immediately. I once had water leak from the air-conditioning on some books and they not only fixed it but compensated for the replacement. The prices also are reasonable especially those on long stays.
