beautiful, old nagshead, dated, but well maintained, needs some upgrades, but what doesn't. right on the beach, quiet, nice pool, ,not far from austins seafood market(best in nagshead)good rates, will definitly stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here, you can’t beat the beach access!! Room 19 was fairly well equipped and very clean and plenty of bath & hand towels/washcloths were provided. The pool was small but a nice touch, as were the outdoor showers. We will absolutely stay here again!

Perfect for families! The pool and beach access were great, the cottage was clean. My only suggestion is to make sure there a small broom left for guests to sweep the sand and up during each stay, but we other than that we can’t wait to come back!

The small room was fine for two people for a few days. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was good and hot. Fridge worked. These are all things I haven’t always had in other places. I would look to stay here again.

The beach is amazing. Perfectly placed. Right where everything is you can walk to ice cream shops, mini golf, grocery store, and restaurants. Was our second year in a row here. Would recommend again.

Beach and pool was excellent Furniture was VERY worn (holes in the sofa) and very old dishes and glasses Boards in porch were splinter and rough on bare feet The set up was great just old and worn because of the location I would give it and A reating but everything else I would rate it a C

We absolutely love the cottage layout. Having a kitchen, saved us a lot of money and everything we needed was right there. The neighbors were friendly and the staff very courteous. When I locked myself out, they came to let me in right away.

My wife and I stayed for 3 days during the first week of September '26. It was clean and comfortable and, as advertised, it is right on the beach. I had set up my first shipwreck dive with Roanoke Island Dive Shop, which was a beach dive about 9 miles down the road. While I was doing that, wifey just strolled out of our cottage and hit the beach for a while. Very convenient location to watch the sunrise over the ocean. I would stay there again. My only complaint is that our cottage didn't have any curtains. The property stays lit up at night and the blinds over the windows were not enough to block out that light.

The wrap around porch with direct beach access was phenomenal. We took our dog. And used a baby gate on the stairs, and she was able to be out there whenever we were. Cabin 7 was very comfortable and was close to many restaurants that were excellant.

This property is so cute and so close to Nags Head Beach! The property manager, Cindy, was really responsive to our needs (extra pillows, a broom to sweep the sand in our room, etc). The only negative was all the people smoking outside of their rooms made it hard to enjoy the turquoise Adirondack chairs and Edison bulb string lights, but there’s nothing the property can do about that. I would definitely recommend this property!

The cottage was very cute and tidy. It was nice having a small kitchen and sitting area. Beds were comfortable and had enough storage space. Access to the beach was so convenient and lovely at night. Steps from Jeanettes pier, the location was great! Only complaint was lack of staff in the office when we lost power, no way to contact the office.

Even though it is an older hotel, the warmth and welcome by the staff makes it a better place for us to stay. We had a clean, inviting room, close to the beach, and fully equipped with a kitchen. Everything we needed.

This is our second time staying at the Sand Spur and we love it. The staff is helpful and kind. The place is clean and well maintained for being right on the beach. Location is excellent! Just walk bare feet to the beach. Pool is small but just what you need. The only thing I would recommend is bring some extra kitchen utensils/cup, etc. the kitchen has a couple of pots and pans but few dishes. We also brought our own cleaning sponge. Beds are comfy and linens clean. Strong AC and fans. Very family oriented!
