About this property
Green Acres by the water
I am a builder by trade and built this home for family. It has every option imaginable. The interior is completely finish trimmed in 100 year old barn lumber reclaimed from my family’s farms. The boat ramp is 1/8 of mile away from home and the house has plenty of easy boat parking. The house has everything needed in the kitchen for all meals. The pictures don’t do the home the justice it deserves.

Jimmy really helped us when we had a blowout on our boat trailer just before getting off I 75. He loaned us all the tools and help needed to put the spare on. Our stay was great and we highly recommend renting his home. It was clean relaxing and just what we needed. Jimmy was a perfect host.
The cabin was quite cozy, had everything we needed and then some. The screened in deck was beautiful. We spent a few nights watching movies. Less than a 5 minute drive to the lake. There’s plenty of parking as all of our family drove separately plus we had a boat. It is such a peaceful area. The homeowner was very helpful. I hope to return next year.
As Jimmy said, "the pictures don't do the cabin justice".
It's a secluded retreat for those wishing for peace and quiet. Located in a quasi private community this beautiful cabin easily provides a family of six with the perfect get away. The cabin is clean, comfortable and cozy everything a cabin should be.Jimmy takes great pride and care in this property and is the perfect host, I say host and not owner because Jimmy is there (if you need) to give you a perfect holiday. For example, upon hearing that we didn't own a boat and that the local rentals were out of our price range Jimmy graciously offered to Captain for us and took us out for a day on the water for a very reasonable price. It was my kids' first time out on the water in a boat and it is a day that will be forever etched in their memories. Jimmy showed us the sights both east and west on the Cumberland and took us to a cove to swim where he usually goes with his family. This location is pet friendly, so your pet is welcomed.Nancy, has a Dollar General, gas stations, a terrifically price Mexican restaurant, a pizzeria, plus a farm that sales peaches (that rival anything from Georgia) and apples plus other produce and foods, there is a few civil war memorials to see if you are into American history. Btw, Nancy is a dry county.Somerset however is not dry, and has all the typical amenities with a spectacular paranormal museum called Paranormal Roadtrippers, a five star experience definitely worth seeing. All in all, like the immortal Terminator said "I'll be back!"
This was our first booking and our first stay in a home for a getaway. It was great, and the family loved it. We had four adults, and the house was perfect for us. The screened-in porch was the ideal space for some R&R and college football. The owner was beneficial with everything throughout the entire stay. I highly recommend this getaway. We will definitely be back.
The cabin itself is beautiful and has everything you would need short of food. We have kids ranging in age from 3 to almost 16 and they were all very happy. There’s plenty of room outside to let the dogs and the kids run. It’s about a 20 minute drive to Pulaski county park where there’s a nice beach. Everything when we arrived was clean and comfortable. If you have a boat, there are boat ramps not far from the house. We loved our stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a family getaway or a friend trip. When we had questions during our stay, the owner was very responsive and helpful. Thanks for everything Jimmy!
