"We arrived 1 hour early to check in and were told that our room was almost ready and I would get a text message when it was available. We sat outside on the front step, and I checked in a half hour later they said not quite yet. We watched as they checked in an entire lobby full of guests and after 4 o’clock I went back to the desk and asked about the room, they apologized and said it wasn’t ready yet. I said I just saw 100 people get checked into their rooms and leave. We finally got to our room just before 5 PM, one hour late of the post check-in time and they didn’t do anything to accommodate us. What a waste of time for only spending one night there; basically just a place to sleep. I replied on the hotel website, about our ordeal, but still have not gotten a response over a week later. $320 for one night that was cut short by them."
"Basic hotel, and provides all the basics well. Check in was easy , there’s a free continental breakfast ( always overslept so not sure how it was) Bed was firm, parking right out front of unit. Only complaint is that on day of check out housekeeping banged loudly on door at 9:30am when checkout isn’t until 11am … I feel they should have either waited u til that time or checked with front desk if we had already checked out"
"I had a wonderful stay at Bright Angel Lodge and would absolutely stay here again on a future visit to the Grand Canyon.
The location is truly unbeatable. Being right on the rim and steps away from the Bright Angel Trail made it incredibly easy to experience sunrise, sunset, and some of the park’s most iconic views. One of my favorite memories was watching the sunrise before hiking down to the arch and seeing the mule riders heading into the canyon. It was such a unique experience.
The cabins are cozy, comfortable, and surprisingly warm at night. While there is no air conditioning, it wasn’t an issue during my stay thanks to the cool canyon breeze. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire property felt welcoming and easy to navigate.
My only minor disappointment was that I paid extra for a rim-side cabin and expected more of a direct canyon view from my room. The surrounding vegetation blocked most of the view from the cabin itself. That said, the property is still beautiful, and you’re only a short walk from incredible panoramic views, so it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
Another huge advantage is how connected the lodge is to everything in the village. There are restaurants, gift shops, cocktail lounges, shuttle stops, bike rentals, guided tours, and mule rides all nearby. I rarely needed to drive because the shuttle system made getting around the park so easy.
Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay if you want convenient access to Park."
