"The Nantucket Inn was a pleasant surprise. From the outside, the property definitely shows its age, but the rooms have been nicely updated and were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is very convenient, especially if you’re flying in or out of Nantucket, as it’s right next to the airport.
There were a few drawbacks. Our room was located three courtyard sections away from the check-in area and required climbing an older set of exterior stairs to reach the second floor. My mother uses a cane, and despite our request, the hotel was unable to accommodate her with a first-floor room, which was disappointing and made getting to and from the room more challenging than expected.
The decks, walkways, and stairs could also use some attention, as they felt rough and showed their age. That said, the room itself was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the overall stay was pleasant.
While it may not be the most polished property on the island, The Nantucket Inn offers good value, comfortable accommodations, and a convenient location. I’d consider it a solid backup option for a future Nantucket trip."
