spent one night in 1970 rooms before my 7am ferry to Capri. if this is your situation, you need to stay here; only minutes walk to the port. for dinner/drinks we walked down the main boulevard (just on the corner of 1970) all the way to the high street shopping (west) and back around 10pm at night. felt very safe in this area. Alibus took me from Naples airport right to port which is a short walk to the hotel. check in was super easy. very communicative host. spacious room and very clean. would do it all over again. thank you!

We recently stayed at 1970 Rooms, conveniently located close to Municipio station, with plenty of shops & restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel has a certain charm with a quirky retro look. The room we stayed in was minimal design, with a small fridge & an open storage area (pity there were only 3 clotheshangers!). The owner seemed friendly & helpful. He offered to arrange excursions, etc., but we didn't take him up on this. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor, but there's a mezzanine which really should be counted as a floor. It’s a total of 68 steps from the pavement to the rooms. There's an elevator too, but N.B it costs 0.50€ per use. It's located eight steps up from the pavement & there is a further step once inside the hotel. One of the reasons why I chose this hotel was due to its listing on Expedia indicated a laptop compatible safe in every room. Unfortunately, the safe in our room wasn't compatible with a small laptop (see photo, the guidebook shows size of the safe). The owner told us that every room had its own safe code which we were told not to alter, something I have never encountered previously whilst travelling. The room was listed being soundproofed. However, on more than one occasion we were awoken at 7am by laughter & talking in the next room. Every word was clearly audible. The aircon functioned well, but we were told not to change the settings except for the temperature. Overall, we had a pleasant enough stay despite the few things mentioned above.

La struttura si trova in una zona molto comoda per chi avesse intenzione di visitare qualche posto tipico di Napoli ( Plebiscito , Quartieri Spagnoli , Centro Storico , Maschio Angioino , Palazzo Reale ecc... ) , ma allo stesso tempo é anche molto tranquilla e sicura.

Cheap, easy and fun in Naples!

The location was perfect. The owner rescued us when someone rented out from underneath us. 1970 was just great! We were needing separate beds and they just did it. You must walk up stairs or pay for elevator during the week but we didn’t care, we walked. I think the elevator is 50 cents. A bit loud on weekday mornings but I thought it was time to get up so okay. If we are ever in Naples again we will go there.

Συμπαθέστατο!!!

Ο ιδιοκτήτης ήταν πολύ ευγενικός και εξυπηρετικός. Το κτίριο ήταν παλιό αλλά τα δωμάτια ήταν πλήρως ανακαινισμένα και πεντακάθαρα. Η οικοδομή είχε security μέχρι αργά το απόγευμα. Στη γύρω περιοχή έχει πολλά στεγασμένα parking. Θεωρώ ότι είναι πολύ καλή επιλογή για κάποιον που θέλει να μείνει στη Νάπολη για λίγες μέρες. Πολύ κοντά στην αγορά και στο λιμάνι.

No es un Hotel, diría que es más un Hostel, no cuenta con recepción durante el día, solo en ciertos horarios, el desayuno no es el mismo lugar sino que en una cafetería cercana y consiste en un café malo, un pan de huevo incomible y un jugo de fruta tibio...lo vimos y nos fuimos, además mala atención en la cafetería, el trato del recepcionista no fué el idóneo.
