"The property was well kept and close to the canal. Pool, Spa and Sauna were great and they are equipped for handicapped access as well. The staff was helpful and professional. I will definitely be staying again."

"The room was very clean; we had a downstairs unit that slept 4. I hope you like steps. (20) The mattresses on both the main bed and the pull-out sofa were horrible to sleep on. The pull-out sofa's mattress was barely 2 inches thick and was not going to hold two kids, let alone 2 adults. The main bed needs more support from the bed frame and a better quality mattress. The room had beautiful log furniture, but it was too big for the space. We were unable to open the bedroom door all the way due to the bed and nightstand being so large. The dining table was also too large for the space. The room was dog-friendly and came with 2 dog bowls and a dog blanket. There was a doggy bag dispenser right outside the main door, but there is very little grass for a dog to do their business near the building, since it is built into the side of a hill. The view from the room was great. Location was a short 5 minutes to downtown Houghton."

"The house was adorable! No matter what fun thing we had planned our 3 kids just wanted to go back to the house. We caught bass and a carp off the dock, swam and paddle boarded around the lake. We went in mid July during an unseasonably hot week. The air conditioner is a large unit in the dining room, not central air. And it just couldn't keep up with the heat. It was typically 80 in the house when we got back at the end of the day. Highs were getting into the upper 90's. We used the two box fans at night and that helped a lot. I'm glad there was some air conditioning because it didn't even occur to me check that the house had it until a few days before our trip.We would stay here again. The house had everything you needed for a relaxing, easy vacation."

"Dan and Sandy were superb hosts; extremely helpful and friendly. The house was spotless; we had a family of 6 and there was plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor space was fantastic. We would love to return!"
