Prepare to be pleasantly surprised and satisfied with your choice if you select Schooner Creek Cabin for your Brown County visit. Less than ten minutes from Nashville, this log cabin is a delightful retreat for you and your nearest and dearest, with its expansive lawn in front, and beautiful woods behind.
Step across the front porch and through the front door to discover a living room that welcomes you with big, comfy sofas, 40" smart TV and a native stone gas fireplace . The main living area includes a kitchen with nice cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, as well as a big oak dining table and chairs. Guests will appreciate the nice screened porch that’s accessible through sliding doors. A picnic table and extra seating provides a secondary dining spot…or maybe it will be your favorite place for card games and story-telling. You’ll find additional seating here lets the whole group join in the porch-time fun. A bubbling hot tub on the deck near the porch is super for soothing ache-y joints.
When you’re ready to settle in for the night, the main level master bedroom has a lot to offer. Log and paneled walls, wood floors, and a neat old trunk lend a certain ambiance to the bedroom plus another smart TV. Big windows provide a good chance to catch a glimpse of a deer or two quietly crossing the lawn, just before you drift off to sleep in the king-size bed. The adjoining bathroom has a shower and plenty of fluffy towels to get you going the next morning as you set off on the day’s adventure…will it be hiking in nearby Brown County State Park…or shopping at the stores in Nashville? You’ll be within five minutes of either activity…and plenty more.
Overlooking the living room is a loft complete with a pool table, game table, and sofa. Break open your own can of “Show‘Em How It’s Done” and demonstrate your knack with a cue-stick…snacks, board games, and puzzles are also preferred ways to enjoy the loft area. There’s another bedroom and bath on the upper level, making travelers feel right at home. When the party’s over, a queen-size bed will be calling your name in a tone only you (and maybe some dogs) can hear. For a good time, go online now to reserve a few days of relaxation in the quiet countryside called Brown County.

My sister, her adult daughter, her 6 year oldGranddaughter, my adult daughter & me did a2 days weekend trip. We shopped, ate & visited. It was off the grid & perfect. We loved the cabin, how quiet it was, how close to town it was & the dollar game! Great stay!
Beautiful cabin, great location, and the front porch and screened porch on back of home were so enjoyable. However, we felt the towels and bedspreads need to be replaced. We also noticed an unpleasant odor to the sofas, maybe just need a good cleaning. Kitchen was well stocked. Overall, a nice rental.
Enjoyed every aspect of staying here other than the fact that the listing stated the cabin had WiFi when it actually didn’t. We didn’t miss it much, thankfully, though, since there were plenty of other things to do. The only hang up there was that my husband had to get online for work-related stuff but had to do it through hot spot when we were away from the cabin. Otherwise, the games, tv with dvd player, and hot tub were enough to keep us occupied and entertained. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would come again, given the opportunity.

Beautiful place to stay with lots of things to do close by. Highly recommended!
The cabin is in a quiet private setting and well kept. Could use a newer mattress but overall a super nice experience. The back had turkey and other animals that made it great for sitting in the really nice and comfy back porch. Would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely first day, but Hurricane Helene had other ideas. We had rain thereafter and lost power on day two that didn't come back on. The staff were kind, but it was a bit of a bust.
Beautiful setting and beautiful cabin. Sitting in the hot tub was wonderful with amazing views. That being said, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and living room furniture was awful to sit on. For the price of renting the cabin, I was expecting more comfortable accommodations. As long as you don’t plan to sit comfortably and watch tv or get a good nights rest, you will love it here.
This property was beautiful. We felt that we had privacy, and were still only a few minutes away from the park, grocery, and downtown Nashville. Our only complaint was that the bathtub didn’t work (we used the shower). However, because we were only there for a quick weekend, we didn’t reach out to maintenance about fixing it. Just ignore the email from the property management group about how tourists are a burden and danger to the area-come down anyway and enjoy a beautiful stay!
We packed everything we thought we would need, and to our surprise, this cabin was well equipped. It was so welcoming when we drove down the lane. Christmas wreaths and red bows
Adorned the posts and front door. The lighted Christmas tree shone through the window too. It was a warm Christmas Welcome. It was secluded and quiet. Quite peaceful! We enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace as well as the bubbling hot tub! While there, we awoke to 2 inches of snow! The ground and cabin looked beautiful. We heard a noise and saw a man with a hand held blower, clearing our sidewalks! This company thinks of everything to help make your stay comfortable. We loved Schooner Creek Cabin and would definitely recommend it to others. We plan to rent from Hills O Brown again some day.
