This cabin was awesome! Loved the history of it…it evoked nostalgic memories from my childhood growing up around log cabins. This was the perfect place to relax and recharge!
Went to see the Dolly musical, so this was an absolutely perfect “TN mountain home”! Legit size coffee pot (which was amazing) toiletries etc .everything you need. There was a seclusion feeling and we had a lovely time sitting under the shade trees in the back. Wonderful accommodations!!
This place had a lot of character and was everything that we hoped it would be. Check in process was quick and easy and everything was great! Would definitely recommend, no complaints!
This is truly a little slice of historical heaven. It is very clean with everything you need and then some. They have a grill and fire pit outside to use but It was very cold and raining during our stay so we were unable to use them, on our next stay we definitely will.. We did have a few questions and the host replied almost instantly.
Nice lil place to stay Summer or Winter. The cabin even has a sho-nuff real fireplace too. Oh, it woukd be great to stay there during a winter storm. The shower water was nice n' hot and the bed was clean, comfy, and cozy.
We were visiting family in Hendersonville. This cottage was perfect!! We were able to stay in a historic building and enjoy the charming atmosphere and we were only minutes away from the family. The cottage has an assortment of Hanes and plenty of fluffy towels and was just charming!!
The cabin is super cozy. I loved that it made you feel like your in the past but has the modern luxuries we all want. Only negative I can say is the bed was a bit hard. I suggest bringing your own pillows for comfort but other than that it was great. It was quiet and we felt safe. The host provided all you needed with no need to bring extra things with you.
I had a great stay in this cozy and warm cottage. It was very clean and the bed was so comfortable that it hugs you! Will definitely recommend this to friends! Thanks for letting me stay!
We cannot thank you enough for your hospitality that you show at your cabins. It has everything you need to make it a quiet, peaceful, enjoyable visit.
Great getaway, Amanda was helpful & available with any questions we had. Great little cabin with outside fire bowl for the evening…watching fireflies was an added treat!
Highly recommend!
Everything was so nice! Lovely property and host, helped us find some nice places to go. Far enough away from the city to relax but close enough to go to several different towns.
Will book again if we're ever in the area!
Absolutely loved our stay in this delightful, historical cabin in Sumner County. It was welcoming and comfortable after a long day of sight seeing. Would definitely book again with the Burtons when revisiting the area.
This incredible piece of historyay not be right for someone that wants access to room service and additional amenities, but if you're looking for a rustic, nature-filled experience, THIS IS IT!!! There are deer, many beautiful birds, butterflies, etc. The cabin is immaculate and has everything you need for a great experience. I marvel that it was built in 1790! If I'm lucky enough, maybe I'll get to stay again sometime.

This property eas uniquely comfortable and private. The host Amanda was pleasant and responsive. The property contained everything you need. Awesome.
Overall, this cute little cabin provided exactly what we were looking for, a small, cozy getaway outside the city. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. One night there was an animal chewing along the roofline, which made it difficult to sleep. Additionally, the mattress on the bed really needs to be replaced; it felt like the springs on one side were broken. After two nights of poor sleep due to the mattress and the noise, we finally slept well on the third night simply because we were exhausted.Despite these issues, we would still stay here again, though we would bring a mattress topper next time.
Pros: Quaint and clean place, most necessary items provided, good communication with host.Cons: Road traffic noise (but not major), having to climb to mini fridge, freezer portion needs defrosted, bed extra firm, dusty games, no decaf coffee, entry door needs to be shaved at bottom so it doesn't get stuck when opening.
We had such a nice experience staying at the cabin. It was absolutely beautiful. Close enough to town, but the cabin made it feel like we were somewhere secluded. We loved it!
