Our group stayed here for a girls’ weekend, and while the house itself was great, the host experience was extremely disappointing.The positives:The property was perfect for a girls’ trip, spacious with three bedrooms, each with its own TV, which made it easy for everyone to unwind at the end of the day. The back porch with the fire pit was a highlight; we spent a lot of time relaxing out there. The home was clean and tidy overall, though there were a few wall dents from previous guests.The negatives:Unfortunately, the check-in process was unacceptable. We didn’t receive any check-in information until four hours after check-in time, leaving us stranded at the airport unsure if we even had a place to stay. After spending over an hour on the phone with Vrbo support, who were ready to move us to a hotel, the host finally sent a short message with the code, no apology, and no instructions.Once inside, there was no house manual, no Wi-Fi details, and no check-out information. It took nearly 15 hours before we finally received the Wi-Fi code, and we had ongoing issues locking the smart lock, which took multiple tries and a lot of frustration. The house also smelled strongly of marijuana upon arrival.While the host did refund one night as compensation, the overall lack of communication and preparedness made the stay unnecessarily stressful.Bottom line: The home itself is great for groups, but unless the host improves communication, I would not stay here again.
