"The lake view is beyond beautiful. The staff was excellent and kind. It rained while we were there so we didn’t get to swim in the lake like we wanted to but it was still beautiful. The Swiss flag on the rock is directly behind the hotel.
No valet parking, kind of rude people asked us to move the car prior to even walking up to the desk to check-in to ask where the proper place to park. We’ve never been here! We didn’t know what to do with the car but they quickly put us in our place. They need a better sign to let guests know what to do for parking. Once you’re inside the gate, park your car in a parking space THEN walk in to check in. We couldn’t even concentrate on what the first desk was telling us about breakfast in the morning/check in because we were so frazzled/rushed about moving the car! Not a good first impression!"
"The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views of the lake & mountains, with the added bonus of an adjacent park along the shore. Hospitality is a standout feature of this property, with friendly & helpful staff and nice touches everywhere that show their pride in this facility and their attention to your enjoyment. Great breakfast. This hotel has Old World class in a serene setting. Brunnen is a cute village at a quieter end of the lake from touristy Lucerne."

"This place was nothing short of magical. Michele is an amazing host an the property tskes your breath away. From the warmth of the family farm to the beautiful flowers to many small charming decorations, this place took our breath away.
Book this place and it'll make your trip that much more memorable. Final note, waking up to the gentle sounds of a farm and exploring to find puppies and baby cows. It melts your heart ❤️.

"We visited this amazing Vitznau mountain property for our summer family vacation. We felt relaxed and ready to adventure from the moment we stepped in the door. The views and the access to hiking, swimming, and general exploration of the Lake Lucerne area was perfect.Navigating the trains, ferry, and buses to get around, was easy and options for adventure, food, relaxation, and more was everywhere.The host was also extremely informative, responsive and even took time to meet with us while we were there.Switzerland was a dream trip and this property helped to make it come true."
"An incredibly charming, and a well maintained historic hotel. Staff was really nice, and the breakfast (with that view) was something I looked forward to everyday. Also its location is ideal; it's right next to the Riggi train, the ferry stop and the bus stop. How perfect is that?! Got the most stunning pictures right from my room's shared balcony, morning, evening and even nighttime! Easy access to pretty much all tourist hotspots all around Lake Lucerne and other places.
The few things I would recommend:
1. Fix the floor creaking (BUT NOT CHANGE THEM, because they're beautiful). They creak so loud it wakes up the other person in the room
2. Room keys have these grenade looking keychains we were told represent lake bouys. Please reduce the bouy sizes on the room keys so they can fit in a pocket.
3. Maybe hire some staff for the night shift in case guests have an emergency, medical or otherwise.
4. Historic buildings can have plumbing issues. My bath drain kept getting blocked with water overflowing into the larger bathroom.
5. You have an amazing breakfast room. Why not also open it up for lunch and dinner as well? There seems to be a shortage of good restaurants in the area.
Everything said, I cant wait to go back to this charming, memorable hotel again. "
