"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. "Clean cabin. The main blanket was a sleek poly blanket, but not warm enough by itself in the unheated cabin. There were extra wool blankets, but they slide off during the night. Parking was packed due to Spring Break crowd. Had to park at the Ahwahnee the first day. Shower house by the pool was better than the one just south of the village (more & better clothes hooks)"
