"Food was good and fast service.staff was professional and attentive. The hotel IS definitely dated and repairs showed non professional craftmanship but the place was kept ultra clean and the "dated" look provided part of the charm. We would stay there again!."

Buldging pealing and cracked walls and ceilings, insufficient outlets, uneven floors and walls, and structure; doors did not close, dirty worn sofas, insufficient kitchen supplies, old rough towels, tiny toilet, intermittent air conditioner in living room, fear of collapsing holes in the balcony floor, worn dirty porch furniture, wobbly banister on steep cement stairs, limited parking in front, blinds broken and set too high to reach, windows lacked privacy, beds were hard, linen and pillows were cheap, bug bit me the last night. Over 20 stairs to climb to a major disappointment. Washer , dryer and water pressure were the best features."

"Stay away from this property if you are traveling to Portsmouth. The property is filled with long-term residents with a cast of characters from skid row. Some folks were smoking pot under the staircase going to the second floor. Between 3:30-4:00 AM, concert volume rap filled with expletives was blasted through out the compound. Consequent irritability caused by Lack of sleep from the loud music must have been the reason the residents started arguing almost continuously outside our door from 7 AM. Not the type of drama we were looking for on our vacation! We gave our microwave perhaps its first cleaning ever. The shower curtains were covered in mildew and the bathroom door was broken."

"The property was an excellent choice for our short stay prior to going on a cruise. The location was walkable to restaurants and convenience stores. It was in a safe location, which is very important to me. "

"The hotel is getting very tired. Our room sink had a broken stopper and the bathroom floor had something sticky spilt on it, Only one elevator worked so there was always a wait. The ice machine didn’t work. They only had coffee made in tge mirning, no hot water ot tea options. I think it was over priced for what you got"
