It was the last option as Dublin was sold out due to a football game. I’m so glad it was our only choice as it turned out to be a spectacular property with beautiful views and fantastic staff.

Driving up the road from the gate to the beautiful Georgian manor house is like being transported into a scene from Downton Abbey. A lovely dog friendly hotel set in a lush tranquil garden.

The staff (especially Steven) was exceptional with their commitment to customer service and assistance. Kudos and applause to them for their gracious hospitality. Regretfully, the deluxe suite we stayed in was freezing cold despite attempts by maintenance to fix it. Also, we woke up every day to find fleas or bugs in the bathroom sink. The common areas are well maintained, but the rooms were shabby and could use a repaint/refresh. The lighting fixtures were not working either and the property could use a major overhaul, despite a wonderful staff.

Amazing property! The staff was exceptional at every point of our stay. Morning breakfast was the best we've had in Ireland. The drawing room art was cool, very quirky for this setting but we really enjoyed it.

⭐️ Prepare to live like a Lord & Lady in this posh, beautiful, spacious manor house! One night is not enough. Spa, massage & hot tub available- book ahead. A magnificent 18th-century Georgian house, located in the heart of the Boyne Valley, less than 5 minutes from the M3 and under 30 minutes from Dublin City center and Dublin airport.

The hotel and surrounding areas are beautiful and well-maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and tidy. We had dinner in the "informal" restaurant and the quality and prices were as expected (not cheap, but didn't feel overpriced). Breakfast could have been better, but it might have been bad timing since it's a buffet so it will depend on when it gets restocked. Our room was a good size, the bed was huge and comfortable. The only downside was it was very hot, and it was hard to cool it down since there was no air conditioning and the windows couldn't be opened more than a few inches. Fans were provided, but I imagine this is only a problem for a few weeks of the year. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and steam room, but it would have been nice to have had a swimming pool as well.

A wonderful country house

This is a lovely historic property with amazing grounds, a wonderful breakfast, accommodating staff, and lovely amenities like the spa and bathrobes in the rooms. Be careful when booking you room, however, that you get what you want... I did not realize until I got there that I would not be getting a room in the main building or the brick ones attached to it, but instead a room in the stables. These should be ok in theory. But for some reason, I was plagued by flies all night. I don't know how they were getting into the room.

Beautiful setting, very nice room in very nice hotel. Lady on reception called Liz (I think) waited until 10.30pm to check me in because my ferry was delayed. Breakfast was very good too. Wish I could have stayed longer.

This was a lovely hotel. The staff were lovely and showed me to my room. I couldn’t get the tv working on the first night but it was sorted for me the following day. Felt like a real treat, staying there, and it wasn’t overpriced.

Hmmmm. Looks great on the outside, however this is the usual chopped up, added to, variable room country house hotel. Room was ok, nothing special. Restaurant was passable. Good staff, need to be better trained on process. Safe, quiet location.

This property is magical! From the moment we drove up, we were in awe! We love the property’s Hailey and everything it has to offer. My husband and I had dinner at Preston’s and WOOOOOW!!!!! The steak was by far the best I’ve ever had, and I am a foodie! Everything was cooked to perfection! We also went to the spa, and it was the best and much needed r&r my husband and I could ask for! I can’t wait for us to return.
