"Bill and Paula were wonderful hosts. Our stay exceeded our expectations. Paula was a wonderful cook and we enjoyed all of her homemade meals. The family and the community of the village were so welcoming, and we loved getting involved in the local culture. The snorkeling off of the island was wonderful, we went out almost 2 or 3 times everyday. We had the pleasure of tagging along to their invitation to the opening ceremony of the kuata island resort, where we witnessed the traditional kava ceremony and proceeding of their clan rituals. We also had a wonderful time doing the snorkeling with sharks excursion, which is a bucket list item! Keep in mind this is a homestay, which is perfect for an outdoor and a nature enthusiast crowd that wishes to immerse themselves in local culture and wildlife. We already miss their hospitality and the island, and hope to bring our friends/family back someday to this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you!!!!"

"This is the most beautiful place with the most beautiful people. We were the only guests on the island at one point and they couldn’t do enough for us. The food is fresh and delicious. If we return to Fiji we would choose to stay here with them. We had a massage that was wonderful as well. Serenity, love and peace you will find here to rejuvenate your soul. Bures are right on the beach and very clean and beautiful. We loved every person on the island and they showed us love as well. "

"Nice stay in Yasawa islands! If you are addicted to snorkelling and you want to relax giving up some unnecessary luxury comfort, this place is perfect for you! Nice bungalows close to beautiful private beach, few guests, perfect privacy! Hand-made food is good and filtered water is available, no need of bottled water. The beach is very nice and accessible also when tide is low thanks to a small concrete underwater bridge. "

"Best coral reefs I’ve seen. The service was decent, everyone was very kind and hospitable. Some times you have be a little persistent if there’s a certain activity you want to do, mostly due to staffing issues I think. I think a good way to fix this is to have the front office get if WhatsApp to communicate with guests better. Food was mediocre to good. The only fish they served was Waloo which can be harsh on the digestive tract for some people. "

"I really don’t want to say anything bad about this place because the people were truly fantastic but this was not my favorite stay. In terms of safety (especially being a solo female traveler) I felt very safe. If you’re looking for a secluded and gorgeous spot this is definitely it. The cabins are not great but the location really does make up for it. I did see the biggest spider of my life due to a hole in the bathroom that really threw me off in terms of this stay though. The boys of the owner thankfully came and got it out but as someone who is not the greatest with big bugs, I would recommend finding a more secure stay if that is an issue for you. There were ants everywhere and there wasn’t a fan until I asked for one which made it very difficult to sleep. The electricity is only on at night which is fine but it’s a lot when it’s super hot and there is no fan. The food was always good but you didn’t get any option on what you ate. You got what you got. You also sit with everyone else who is staying at the place at a big table so if you are looking to have your own space or be solo this isn’t the best place for it. Personally I liked it though because it opened conversation with new people. The location really is breathtaking. Everyone is so nice and they have the cutest dogs and one eyed cat! "

"We stayed at the treetop Bure, the view was phenomenal. The Bure was basic but charming and clean. The area around the resort is really well maintained tropical gardens. The resort has a convenience store and a restaurant. Food was healthy and tasty using local ingredients. Daily breakfast included freshly baked sweet and savoury goods. The staff was very welcoming. We felt a sense of community got to learn about the Fiji culture from them. They were also very accommodating in regards to daily activities offered. Overall we loved our stay at Nanua and highly recommend. "

"Amazing staff especially Anna at the dive shop and the other ‘entertainment and activity’ staff!!! The food was superb!!!! Stayed in the dorm, was perfect for solo travellers to meet others etc. good scuba diving team as well. Had an amazing time there. "
