"The Pell Hotel is a great option if you are looking for a modern, more affordable accommodation while visiting Newport. Be prepared to pay $20 one way per Uber ride to/from Newport. Despite what you may read, the bus is inconvenient and unreliable. Staff was friendly and room was clean. My one complaint about the room is that you could only open the closet door about 1/3 of the way before it was stuck against the floor. Loved the convenience of having an on-site restaurant and bar. Beverages and food were delicious! We did not utilize the pool area but it looked very nice and several other guests seemed to enjoy it. Of note, there is no elevator. Thankfully we were on the second floor but I would keep this in mind prior to booking. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend The Pell Hotel."

"Very happy with our stay. Spoke with the host prior to our visit and she answered all my questions. I brought my own coffee maker because I prefer it over the supplied Kureg. There is a BBQ grill, but you might want to bring BBQ tools. Quick walk to the beach or into town to places like Flo's restaurant."

"Rebecca was a great host for my bachelorette weekend! The house was clean and comfortable with the most gorgeous sunsets to watch on the back patio or front porch. The location couldn't be more ideal, we were able to walk to the beach and it was about a 15-20 minute Uber ride to Thames Street and the Polo Club. Rebecca was a very attentive host, who we occasionally ran into as she stayed in the back of the property. I highly recommend this stay and would be happy to visit here again!"

"Spectacular water views, multiple master suites and the quick hop into Newport made this the perfect getaway for our group. Restaurants, etc. less than a mile away are walkable, but note there are no sidewalks."

"Steve the host was very responsive and very flexible to our fluid logistical needs. The house and property were clean and turn key. We particularly enjoyed the back patio and yard for relaxing morning coffee and light ocean breezes. Parking was ample, and the neighbors and neighborhood were fantastic. Easy to walk down to Tickets to watch World Cup, or to the beach to enjoy the Surf and Sand. Just far away enough from Newport to avoid the busy summer traffic, but close enough to walk if you wanted."
