"When we arrived, there was a homeless person’s car parked near the front door in the hotel parking lot. Not a good start. The hotel was obviously ready to be sold. Lots of deferred maintenance. The room was completely unacceptable. The wall paper was peeling. The bathroom smelled like sewer gas. We had to keep the door shut with the bathroom fan running constantly. The fan clearly had not been serviced for a very long time. It sounded like a thousand crickets. The curtains were torn. I could go on, but you get the idea. We couldn’t wait to leave!"

"Last day decision on a 3-week camping trip to leave biting gnat site a day early and find a one-night option on our way west. Ely is on our route, and I checked motels with this one looking good on reviews and price. It was - clean, evidently remodeled recently and pretty quiet which is too often a lodging issue for me. The king bed was comfortable, and the fridge and microwave were in good order. The only negative was the old wall mounted AC which I should have turned off because the room remained warmer than outside."

"The staff at the front desk were very nice.. This is a dirty hotel. Bathroom was dirty, like the base of toilet had not even been cleaned. Bathroom floor was dirty, room floor had doritos on it. Outside the trash was overflowing and multiple ash trays were full of butts. I would definitely not stay here again"

"Worst motel check-in experience ever. I felt lil I was in the movie Total Recall. I had to talk to a kiosk with a young lady that spoke broken English over a terrible speaker. Thank goodness a woman came out from a closed door behind the check-in counter to help translate or I never would’ve been able to check-in. Then to top it off my card key didn't work and I had to go through that terrible experience again. I finally just yelled at her to give me another key card, which she understood loud and clear"
