"One of the staircase leading to the porch on the Xenia Ave side is starting to rot. I a member of the "broken pane" school, meaning that stair railing should be fixed asap. It suggests that the rest of the property is not up to snuff."

Hotel Ardent Dayton Downtown, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

Hotel Ardent Dayton Downtown, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

8/10 Good
"First off, the staff was great... helpful, friendly and attentive. Was in town for a meeting at the USAF museum so this property allowed easy access to it (10 min drive). But this I believe is a new hotel in a very old building. If you're looking for quiet, know that street noise can be a problem as well as the old elevator system that seems to contribute to the non-stop thumping/banging heard most hours. While the restaurant is decent (bar furniture needs a re-think/upgrade) there's not much else w/in a 3-4 block radius. It's about a 20-30min walk east or south to Oregon (Salar or Jays worth the walk) to find any other decent dining."
