The Space:
Morning light filters through the trees, and the quiet of the Shenandoah Valley settles in around you. Crisp air carries the scent of the woods, inviting slow mornings with coffee indoors and evenings spent warming up under the stars. Tucked along the ridges of the valley, Golden Woods feels removed from the rush while keeping you close to everything that makes this area special.
The home is set up as a main cabin with a separate detached tiny cabin, giving your group space to spread out while still staying connected. Inside the main home, the living and dining areas are open and comfortable, designed for gathering after a day of exploring or simply enjoying a relaxed night in. WiFi and a Smart TV make it easy to stream movies or catch up on work if needed, and the home is well suited for both unplugging and staying connected.
Sleeping arrangements
Golden Woods accommodates up to 9 guests across three bedrooms. The main house includes two bedrooms - one with a king bed and another with a queen over queen bunk bed. The detached ADU serves as the third bedroom and includes one queen bed, one twin bed, and a half bath. This setup works well for families, couples traveling together, or anyone who appreciates a bit of added privacy.
Kitchen and dining
The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for home-cooked meals, whether you are preparing a hearty breakfast or a cozy dinner after returning from nearby attractions. A dining area connects easily to the living space, making it a natural spot for shared meals, board games, or lingering conversations late into the evening.
Outdoor living
Step outside and you are surrounded by trees and fresh mountain air. The hot tub is available year-round, when the contrast between warm water and air makes for an especially relaxing soak. The outdoor area also includes a grill and space to enjoy the peaceful setting. String lights add a soft glow once the sun sets, and parking is available on the property.
Comfort and essentials
The home includes heating and air conditioning, along with bathroom essentials and fresh linens to keep your stay comfortable throughout the season. Entertainment options include a TV, sound system, and board games, while families traveling with children will find books, toys, and kid-friendly touches throughout. Safety features such as smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide alarm, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit are provided.
Pets and important notes
Golden Woods is pet-friendly and welcomes dogs, though cats are not allowed due to allergies. Because the cabin is set in a natural, wooded environment, you may notice leaves, pollen, or other outdoor elements despite regular cleaning. WiFi is provided, but service can occasionally be slower due to the mountain location.
The neighborhood
You are just minutes from downtown New Market, with easy access to Interstate 81 and Route 11. Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, and Shenandoah National Park are all within a short drive, offering scenic views and seasonal outdoor activities.
Perfect for
Families, friends, and pet owners looking for a peaceful mountain retreat with space to relax, reconnect, and experience the Shenandoah Valley at a slower pace.
Note
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but given the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or other outdoor elements—especially during certain seasons. Nature has a way of leaving its mark, no matter how often we tidy up, and we appreciate your understanding.
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
Wi-Fi is provided, though service can occasionally be slower or spotty due to the remote mountain location. We recommend downloading any essential content in advance so you can fully relax and enjoy your stay.
