North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks including Jackson Square (1.5 Miles), Caesars Superdome/Smoothie King Center (0.9 Miles), The National WWII Museum (2.8 Miles), and the famous Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 (3.0 Miles).

★ The layout was great, plenty of room for two couples.

Mid-City has a pace all its own - one that this bungalow captures perfectly. Tucked just two blocks from the Canal Streetcar, it sits at the heart of a neighborhood where great food, live music, and genuine New Orleans character are all within easy reach. Step inside and you’ll find a home that’s warm, thoughtfully stocked, and full of the kind of lived-in detail that makes a stay here feel distinctly different from anywhere else.

    The space
Warm natural light fills the bungalow the moment you arrive, setting a tone that’s both inviting and easy to settle into. Central air conditioning, ceiling fans, and central heating keep you comfortable whatever the weather brings, and a dedicated workspace - behind its own door - means you can handle what needs handling without it bleeding into your downtime.

    Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms offer a calm retreat at the end of each day, dressed in fresh linens with extra pillows and blankets on hand. Closets and dressers take care of clothing storage whether you’re here for a weekend or a longer stretch. Families traveling with young children are well catered for: a crib, pack ‘n play, folding high chair with padding and harness, and baby safety gates are all available on request.

    Kitchen & dining
The chef’s kitchen is one of this home’s standout features, anchored by a Frigidaire stainless steel electric stove and backed up by an oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, and toaster. Cooking basics, dishes, and silverware are fully stocked - everything you need to put together a proper meal and enjoy it at the dining table.

    Bathroom
The full bathroom includes a bathtub, shower, and bidet, with a complete set of complimentary toiletries waiting for you - shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and shower gel. A hair dryer is also available.

    Entertainment & connectivity
A 43" HDTV with Netflix handles the evenings when you’d rather stay in, and fast WiFi keeps you connected throughout your stay. The dedicated workspace - in a room with a door - is set up and ready whether you need to catch up on work or map out tomorrow’s plans.

    Outdoor living
Step out onto the private balcony for a quiet coffee in the morning or a drink as the evening cools. The fenced yard beyond gives pets and people alike room to decompress after a full day out in the city.

    Laundry & essentials
In-unit washer and dryer, hangers, an iron, and cleaning products are all on hand - particularly useful if you’re packing light or planning a longer stay. Fresh towels and bed linens are provided, and cleaning is available during your stay on request.

    Location
The bungalow sits two blocks from the Canal Streetcar, putting the Lafitte Greenway, neighborhood cafés, and live music venues all within easy walking distance. The French Quarter, City Park, and the Superdome are only minutes away, making this a well-placed base for everything New Orleans has to offer. Fall and winter visitors are especially well-positioned: NOLA ChristmasFest, New Year’s Eve fireworks, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, Twelfth Night, Krewe du Vieux, and Mardi Gras are all on the doorstep - and the Endymion parade rolls right through the neighborhood.

very nice place, convenient location, easy parking. Bed comfy. Front porch (second floor) nice, but chairs dirty. Nice kitchen but no staples (like sugar or pods for the Keirig). Store on corner handy. Whole foods pretty close. Great AC but controller hard to use and no instructions. Got help from them on phone. Washer could have been cleaned out better. If stay again
