Urban Oasis

We had a very enjoyable experience staying at the Urban Oasis. Great location, tons of space for family and friends. We had two rental cars with spots for both. The host was very responsive to minor requests. Would definitely stay again when we visit NOLA.

Convenience of Mid City

Easy access to Canal streetcar. Great restaurants near by. Only complaint, the shower in the hall bath needs some plumbing work.

Time with friends and family.

This location was perfect for our group trip to NOLA. It's very close to everything, and uber/lyft's were easy to get. The area has several good options to eat right in the neighborhood within walking distance. There was plenty of space in the house for everyone, and would 10/10 recommend for group travel to the Crescent city.

Peaceful NOLA

Beautiful and spacious property!!! Love the antique and rustic accents keeping the historic feel of the original home, and yet still blends in some modern features. This was a peaceful and relaxing location with no troubles from the outside world!! Will definitely use as a getaway again soon!

Amazing 10/10 recommend

The property was conveniently located near local restaurants and food stores, all in walking distance. The property is located on a busy street but it was usually quiet on weekends with more traffic on the weekdays which is expected. There was one maintenance issue within the house but I spoke with the property owner and was assured it would be taken care of. I would absolutely book this property again should I return to New Orleans.

Loving New Orleans

We had 8 adults, age 81 to 24, and a 6 month old. I will have to admit, not knowing the area, I was a bit concerned when we first drove up. I met the man next door and he was very nice. The interior was very nice, and quite spacious. Loved having plenty of seating in living room and dining table fire everyone. I brought k cups But didn’t need because there’s a coffee maker with a pot. The only small negative was since it’s an older home, the bedrooms were a comfortable temp, but the living area was a bit chilly (outside was high in low to mid 50s and rainy.). That’s just how older homes can be. The beds were all very comfortable and the location is very convenient to French quarter. All in all, a great trip

Mixed review

So me and my family of 6 stayed here for my bday trip 9/20-9/24. Check-in was so smooth. I read other reviews that stated they didn't like the neighborhood but we all found it very convenient. The place itself is very nice inside but the king bedroom with the red curtains had dirty sheets and the queen bedroom closest to the bathroom had an air duct over the bed that dripped water right on the person sleeping there. If you are a party of more than 4 or 5 your'e not going to have a place for all of you to sit comfortably as there is only a couch unless you plan to only sit around the dining room table. I wouldn't stay here again but I would definitely stay with the property owners if they had other locations. I found them to be extremely professional. We had an issue with the jack and jill bathroom and someone was there to fix it in under 20 minutes. OtherItownersallfound it

NOLA Girl's Trip

We would stay here again. The house is a historic shot gun style home positioned in mid-city, very convenient location. The home is spacious and has been modernized throughout. Everyone had their own bed to sleep in and there were 3 bathrooms, which everyone easily shared. Almost every bedroom had its own smart TV, which was nice. The house offers two parking spaces in the back, if you rent a car or have friends visit. The neighborhood is older, and the locals are friendly. Don’t be surprised if someone is sitting on the stairs out front visiting, that’s pretty normal in NOLA. There is a barrier/gate between the street/sidewalk and the porch. House has video surveillance outside and is secure. There is a little shop across the street named "Coffee Science," which has a courtyard in the back. There is a gas station at the corner within walking distance. There is a street car stop two blocks away at Broad & Canal. $3 for an all-day pass. I recommend riding the green line over to the Garden District to view the mansions and the yellow/red line will take you back/forth downtown to the French Quarter. If you're looking for authentic Cajun food you'll want to try "Monday" off Bienville St, which is about an 8-min drive (best food we ate). Reserve a table via Open Table. Don’t miss brunch at the Ruby Slipper Café behind the gas station. Join the online waitlist. If you’re looking for tours, I recommend Cajun Encounters swamp tour or French Quarter food tour by Destination Kitchen.

The house was so clean and comfy. We fit seven people with EXTRA room. We also felt safe during the day and night. I love that it included the two parking spots. Its hard to come by in nola. The beds were comfortable. It had all the little extras we needed. I would definetly stay here again. Short drive from the hustle and bustle. I also loved that we had a cute little outdoor space as well. LOOOVE! They will charge you a 500 deposit seperate from the vrbo charges that will be returned at the end of the trip. Just fyi before booking.
