"I stayed for an extended period of time. The owner and his sons live on the property, but you won’t see them very much. The property is SO peaceful, quiet, and safe. They’ve been working to improve it and so there’s some renovations and things here and there, but nothing that would make you uncomfortable or disturb you. "Our stay was one of the most relaxing and amazing vacations my family has taken. Our kids loved swimming in the lake, fishing, making smores at the fire pit, and warming up in the hot tub. My parents enjoyed the spacious living/great room with beautiful lake views. My wife and I got to relax because everyone had something of their liking (haha). "My friends and I stayed at this cabin for my bachelorette weekend. It was beyond perfect in every way. The host, Erin, was responsive and friendly. The check-in process was very easy. There was a house manual that explained the house and how everything works, which was helpful! There were little details in the cabin that made the stay even better. One of the favorite rooms of ours was the theater room. So many movies to choose from and a couch to fit everyone. The one thing we were worried...

"For a long weekend in the area, this was a great place for my wife and I, two of our adult sons and our dog. The house was clean and comfortable and just off a nice park trail for our pup. Kitchen supplies (spices and oils) were somewhat limited, so bring your own if you intend to cook. Pots and pans were adequate. Host supplied Keurig cup coffee."

"Our group of friends had an awesome time staying here. From the hot tub to the pool to the huge kitchen/living room to the arcade room, this place was the best. Communicating with the owners we super easy. They have done a ton of work to create a clean and fun place with tons of amenities for a large group to enjoy. The pool was a blast and there were a ton of great places to cozy up with a book or hang out and watch movies. Thanks for such a great experience!"

The house itself was clean and spacious—everyone (two couples, two singles) had their own space if they needed a minute to themselves. The details—from ample linens and phone chargers in every room to the coffee maker and French press to the board games—were immaculate. I fully recommend The Gables for a getaway!"
