Not bad. It's nothing fancy, and the perks are minimal--there's no breakfast available, and the 27th floor lounge you might have read about in other reviews has, post-COVID, become mostly a coffee station. But that's okay; if you're here to see the city, whether for work or for leisure, you'll be staying quite literally right across the street from Grand Central Station, with easy access to pretty much anything midtown as well as a quick sprint to a major subway hub.
My room was on the second floor, and was surprisingly quiet. It had a good bed, a clean bathroom (with a shower that had hot water almost *instantly*!), a chair to lounge in, and even a bit of space in which to walk around, which doesn't always happen in a NYC hotel room. It also had temperature controls that worked, so you're not at the mercy of the general hotel temperature. Again, it's not luxurious, but if you're there to enjoy the city and NOT your hotel, it's a great place to land before you set out, and crash in a comfortable bed each night. No complaints.
