The location was perfect. Not too close amd not too far away from Time Square. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the lounge on the 2nd floor. The breakfast at the restaurant was surprisingly good. I would totally stay again. One of the best hotels we have stayed in while in NY.

I called a week before to understand the proximity of places and recommendations for food/coffee/bagels. It was my lucky day when Rachel Covert answered the phone. She was pleasant, offered great recs, and put my mind at ease on travel options for the wedding I was in town to attend. Brady Rosario was equally great providing adequate notice to update my payment method and was super responsive. Hotel 48LEX is a beautiful boutique hotel, clean, spacious rooms, great customer service from team members, and the restaurant Cognac offers great breakfast, lunch, and dinner options!

We felt very welcomed when we checked into 48LEX — the staff member who assisted us was exceptionally pleasant. The hotel’s location is excellent, with easy access to the subway and plenty of nearby food options. We also enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel; the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. Our room was pleasantly spacious for New York, but unfortunately the air conditioning did not work well. We were told it operates on an environmental sensor that requires movement, which meant the room became too warm at night and made it difficult to sleep, despite the comfortable, firm bed. Additionally, one of the elevators was out of service for the entire weekend, leaving only one operational, which caused delays.

This was a quick trip for 2 nights. The value of what I received felt better than other properties. My room had a city view, a microwave, and a refrigerator. It also included a nice full breakfast minus the tip and tax. I would definitely stay again. It is also located within four to 6 blocks of all of the best broadway shows.

The non-chalet entrance private entrance on to the property is the key to safe a secure. Such a friendly and welcoming greeting upon check in the experience started off amazing. Entering the room the standards elevated into supreme luxury with views on the city skyline. Great bedding and new modern bathroom gave the feeling of a boutique establishment. Breakfast in the morning was more than enough with friendly staff with suggestions and availability to change and meet the consumers needs when dinning. Outstanding stay from beginning to end, and the farmers market that shut down the street in the morning provided a quite and cozy waking on the morning.

We have stayed at this property many times in the past. Always enjoyed it. This time was a bit different. We were greeted warmly and given our rooms. My adult kids had no complaints. My wife and I like a cool room for sleeping. We were unable to lower the temperature of the room - guessing a malfunctioning thermostat. Had a horrible sleep unfortunately. Then the water pressure was very low, it took 5 or 10 minutes to get the water temperature comfortable for a shower and the bathroom sink took forever to drain. We are not complainers. While passing by the front desk my wife asked if she was doing something wrong with the thermostat. She was told they would look into it. We gat a call from the hotel, first apologizing and then changing/upgrading our room along with a discount of resort fees. Stuff happens but the response from the hotel management and staff was perfect. They wanted to everything they could to get it right and they did. Every staff member we encountered is good at what they do. Welcoming, professional, thorough and responsive. Perhaps the hotel needs some upgrades and some maintenance but they’ll get it right and we will definitely be back!
