Many construction updates were in place to maintain this historic site. Glad to see that. We did not locate the free breakfast. Apparently, it was at a sister hotel. We stayed here in a pinch when we did not make a flight connection and had to wait 24 hours for our next flight. Shuttle service was great.

My stay at Robert Treat was just okay, the hotel is under construction and didnt feel very clean. There was hair and false eyelashes in my bathroom. They cleaned the room daily, but still didnt feel or look very clean. The gym downstairs was extremely dirty. I wouldnt recommend

Two delightful stays a week apart. Staff and manager are great, accommodating, and ready to help in any circumstance. The distance centre was closed as were the ground floor handicap, bathrooms, I understand that these were both construction.

Do not book here! The pics are beyond misleading, the front desk staff was rude, the building smelled of cigarettes and weed, the room was not only completely run down but also filthy - it was gross. Not to mention the volume which included either filming porn or prostitution. It was not safe! I immediately checked out and demanded a refund. I read a review that was buried but was from May 2026 saying their room was robbed. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Unless you’re looking for a front for whatever illegal activity you’re into…

Very reasonably priced. Elegant and in a good area. The front desk women, both day and night shift were helpful and personable. I do think the flat surfaces, like bedside tables and the dresser, could be cleaned and sanitized. I really will go back the next time I have a Newark layover.

I would rated 4.5 or even 4.8 if I could’ve. It was small things that could’ve used some improvement. Front desk staff were super helpful, my flight got in super early but I was able to check in my luggage and explore. I was also able to check in a little bit earlier which was amazing; I was exhausted. Overall cleanliness was good. The rooms window shade was stuck when I arrived and needs replacement. I was able to fix it but it took some effort. The baseboard rubber thing was coming off and exposed just looked weird, no biggie. The first day I was missing towels but the second day they brought.

The hotel itself was clean and close to the airport. Staff was super helpful. We had guests on our floor that blasted music until early hours of the morning so it was hard to sleep. There were a lot of vagrants in the area as well so I suggest not to wander around too much.
