"Lovely place to stay if you have a vehicle but it is a bit far to get into downtown Alnwick and the Castle and Gardens. It is about a 30 minute walk. Uber and cabs are dicey at best. We took the bus, but it only runs hourly. Restaurant was great with a good breakfast that was included. Rooms are nice, but no fridge. The staff we interacted with were very friendly."

"Staff were really friendly but there was no property owned parking so had to park across the road in a public car park. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality linen. We were given a special access room on the ground floor but we were looking forward to a bath in the room which is what I thought we had booked but not a major issue but if you are booking you may want to make them aware if you want a bath rather than wet room. "

"We stayed here to explore the local area - particularly Cragside. We learned that the area has so much to offer - so will definitely be back! Our room was roomy and well equipped. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We didn't eat here (except for the excellent breakfast) but the food looked good and the bar had a nice vibe. Beers are good! Easy and free parking right outside"

"Quiet, peaceful location relaxing. Pub restaurant busy obviously a popular place to eat and with good reason the food was really good, which was the case with breakfast!. Enjoyed our 2 night stay, the staff really made us think about staying again and wish we didn't have to travel so far enabling us to do this more. Great area, hope to get back."

"First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems). "This house is outstanding. Elaine caters for everyone especially children and as we know when the kids are happy the adults can relax. We have stayed for the third time last weekend , it is such a central area with a beach minutes away also. We will be back certainly."
