"I really appreciated Michelle's warm welcome, and the fact that my dinner was ready for me when I arrived after a chaotic day and whiteknuckle drive in the rain. It was both comforting and delicious. The place was beautiful and historic, and my room very peaceful. And the fact that there is live music 36 5 days a year is brilliant!"

"The staff were amazing. My partner has a allergy to scents and our room was heavily perfumed. We were able to view another room which was much better and we changed rooms and enjoyed our two nights. We really appreciated the staffs care and kindness with this issue. The breakfasts were amazing. Lots of choices. We would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"We loved everything about our stay. Lots of attention to little details in restoring this comfortable, historical farmhouse into a great getaway retreat. Facilities for campers, glampers and 3 comfortable, cozy upstairs bedrooms. A great eclectic library (everything from Keith Richards to the original Winnie the Pooh collection!) And ...the "Dutch Baby" breakfast was a real highlight! Thanks!"

"We had a lovely stay here over the thanksgiving weekend! The hosts were very helpful and reached out in advance to let us know it might be a bit chilly but we were more than warm enough with the fireplace. Our dog absolutely loved spending the morning in the covered porch and the afternoons in the lake. Would definitely stay again!"
