We absolutely love it here. The flowers are blooming. The trees are blooming. It’s absolutely beautiful. I love the story of the house. The house is very clean. The bed is very comfortable and Paula and Jon are just absolutely amazing. Waking up in the morning to see turkeys stretching their stuff and the birds were fun to watch as well:)
This place was just what we needed while staying a week for a softball tournament. We had the amenities of being at home instead of cooped in a hotel room for a week. The home is lovely and the scenery and wildlife were definitely a bonus. The hosts were wonderful and responded quickly. Would definitely stay here again when in this area.
Old house which is part of the charm. Pretty setting. Very clean! No dish washer and old Correll dishes which contain lead paint. So bring paper plates. No dish soap be sure to put that on the list. Bring your own pillows too. Be sure you ask about having company before booking, if that is important to you. For only two nights it was fine. Charming downtown area to visit a short drive away. We were there for an event at the Ford center in evansville which was easy to get to about 15 mintues away from rental. I would rent there again but be a little more prepared next time.
My siblings and I stayed here while we did some genealogy research and it worked out great. Nothing fanny but clean and comfortable. Saw deer and wild turkey in the yard in the mornings.
The property was as expected from the listing. It was perfect for our stay. The area was quiet and peaceful, but close enough to travel to Evansville for our planned events. Everything was provided and the property was very clean and comfortable. Great communication and we were able to check in a little early upon our arrival. And we did see the turkey in the yard on our last morning!
Thanks, I will stay again if ever in the area.
Charming, time capsule of the home that I grew up in. Wildlife and very large pecan trees are also a defining characteristic. Plenty of room for 6, but we had 4
The property was as advertised? Clean and charming 1950's ranch in the country. We enjoyed watching the wildlife, turkey, deer, blue birds, and a quick look at a ground hog. It was perfectly quiet and just relaxing, but very close to Downtown, restaurants, Angel Mounds, and grocery store. It was all we needed to celebrate my Husband's 60th and view the Solar eclipse.
Absolutely loved the old charm of this house. Loved seeing the turkeys in the back yard, deer and geese across the street. It was in a country setting, but close to everything you'd be in Evansville for. The beds were comfy. We did one of the jigsaw puzzles and started another one. The hosts were so quick to answer my questions. Definitely plan to stay there next year, if we go to our convention at Ford Center.
We really enjoyed the house, it’s location, etc. however tv is limited and more importantly 10 am checkout is really hard for old people like us. In our experience check out is usually 11 am or noon.
