"A lovely pub with fab rooms. Stayed in one of the lodge rooms which were gorgeous! All mod cons, clean, well-presented and a great bonus of a balcony. Had our evening meal in the pub which was delicious! Highly recommend the bbq platter. "

"Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay."

The location of the farm is truly remarkable, offering a perfect blend of tranquility in the open fields, while still being conveniently close to nearby attractions and amenities. "Room was large, big bathtub. One corner of the room had moisture damage, and mold, perhaps from a roof leak or condensation. Pub was cosy. Food tasty. There is nothing else to do in Sandhutton. A critter scampering, and chewing in the attic above our room kept us awake most of the night. "

"Great central location, lots of restaurants and shops and tourist activities on your doorstep, very walkable. Really handy having on-site parking at a reasonable cost. Good choice at breakfast for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians and very fresh. Bar area is lovely and comfortable place to sit, dining room a functional area and staff great. Didn’t use fitness suite. Reception staff very welcoming. "
