"We stayed at Derwent as a base for exploring Northumbria. The hotel is set within a large and beautiful green space. Very clean and modern interior. The restaurant (bar) served great comfort food at very reasonable prices. Recommend including the breakfast in the reservation - high quality english breakfast buffet to start each day. We will be returning for our next trip “up north”, hopefully in August. 5/5 stars! Loved it!"

"The food in the restaurants was excellent, room clean and comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Plus they had electric car charging, which they should advertise as I almost didn’t choose them based on there not being any! "

"Country feel in urban environment. Nice building and room but limited facilities. We only had breakfast but it wasn't exceptional: we had a long delay in it arriving...and cooked breakfast was cold."

"I liked the TV and WIFI, and the bed was comfortable. I found the shower hard to manage. The room was a bit shabby and the noise from the bar downstairs was loud but it all went quiet at 11 when it closed."

"The Windsor is in a great location moments from the town centre in one direction and the seafront in the other. The accommodation is basic and a little dated, but decent value for the price we paid. Only problem we had was the lift being out of order and our room was on the 3rd floor. "
