"Charlene was very accommodating when we had a very late check in due to flight delays. The furnishings are comfortable and the area is so quiet and peaceful. My kids enjoyed the outdoor games and children’s play equipment. I loved the sun pouring in through the front window! A good location if you’re willing to drive and see puffins in Elliston, an hour and a half drive away. Totally worth it! "

"Everything was fantastic...the cabins are equipped with everything you need. It would be awesome if in the future they added a Hot Tub. Amazing stay! Thank you!"

"This place offers everything you need to enjoy a few days away. Cabin is tastefully done and well stocked. Very clean and comfortable. It’s like 20 feet from the deck to the water and great for kids. We took advantage of the kayaks and the ho tub, which kept our kids entertained while the adults enjoyed the deck and relaxing. We will be back next year hopefully."

"The main objective of our 15 day trip to Newfoundland was to see icebergs, puffins and several coastal villages. But we also wanted at least one night inland. Back Country Cottages fit that perfectly. A full 30 km inland on old logging roads and trails off the highway, to the cabin at a 12 km long “pond”. "The property was fantastic. We came off an ocean crossing/sailboat and the cabin was a perfect base to hike the ECT for a few days. Beds were comfy, enjoyed the selection of books and games, utilized the laundry, but the fully stocked kitchen was the absolute gem. Property is clean, quiet, private and would stay there again in a heartbeat. "

"My 2 clients and I stayed there. We had a great time, other than we had to go home 😔 cabin is very clean, recycling and garbage both in and out. Wicked spot to have a campfire if u want as well as corn hole. I’ll be back again! "
