"My daughter and I traveled to the area for a special girls’ overnight trip.
While the location for the hotel had great proximity to the beach and the Balboa area and the breakfast staff were so sweet, the upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel were not what I was hoping for. There were stains on the curtains, the floor mat in the bath, the shower curtain, and the window curtains. And there was debris on the room floor from the last guests. And then worst of all we had ANTS in our room. They were sporadic, but, then on the final morning we had thrown a leftover pizza box in the trash and when we woke up there was a whole ant village in there. I notified the front desk about the ants and they noted it, but, we didn’t have an “I apologize” or anything.
We also had an outdated TV that didn’t have a TV guide to see what was showing.
Additionally, we were excited on the website that there was a pool and hot tub, but, it’s a small area right by the parking lot with a small fence between the cars and pool area, so we didn’t use it."
