This stunning Victorian house in the heart of Newquay was built at the turn of the 20th century. Recently refurbished and stylishly curated, it’s not just the inside of the home that shines. Look out the bay windows and you’re spoiled with sea views. Wake up to sights of the waves, rustle up delicious breakfasts and settle into the sofas when storms roll in. All of Newquay’s amenities are close. Whether it’s beach days, surfing, coastal walks or dining out - this is coastal living at its best.
The Space:
Step through the door of Beachfield and feel welcomed from the minute you walk in. Beautiful sea views are complemented by warm whites and soft hues in every room. Having been recently refurbished, the living room and dining room now flow as one - with scandi-inspired furniture alongside rich natural textures and white-washed wooden floorboards. It’s a place you can easily relax in. Snuggle into the sofa with a film on the Smart TV or enjoy a glass of wine in the window seat. Pick up the catch of the day from town and rustle up delicious holiday meals - the spacious kitchen has everything you need.
On the ground floor is a king-size bedroom with a bathroom adjacent. Head upstairs past the exposed lime wash walls to the first floor where you’ll find an additional 3 of the 6 bedrooms. The king-size master is located at the front of the house, boasting a lovely bay window with uninterrupted views of the waves. Plus, there’s a contemporary en-suite bathroom to boot. Meanwhile, next door is a spacious second bedroom with a king-size bed and an original Victorian fireplace. Across the landing, a snug has an additional sofa-bed which can be used to accommodate an extra guest if necessary. Both share a second bathroom with a shower.
Spacious and well-equipped, there’s ample room for 10 guests to spread out and relax. On the top floor, find two extra double bedrooms up in the converted attic space. Plus, a further bathroom. All with a coherent colour palette that sets a calming mood throughout. Find free parking on Beachfield Avenue outside, or at one of the local car parks in town.

The Neighborhood:
The house is located in one of Newquay's most desired spots. You’ve got views over Towan Beach and you are a just a short walk away from the town’s renowned beaches, bars and restaurants. Fistral Beach is a fifteen minute walk, boasting fantastic surfing conditions, a surf school and numerous shops and restaurants. Try Rick Stein's fish and chips and The Stable's pizza washed down with a pint of local Korev from Fistral Beach Bar. Over on the Pentire Headland is Lewinnick Lodge, a highly regarded hotel and restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood overlooking the water. They also serve cream teas and lunch throughout the day!
Great Western Beach, Tolcarne and Lusty Glaze beaches are all within walking distance too and they offer great activities. Slightly further afield, you will find Watergate Bay and Crantock beaches, which are well worth a visit. Watergate Bay Hotel is one of the most highly regarded establishments in Cornwall. Walkers are also perfectly placed to enjoy the very best of the South West Coastal Path, and you can set off on long walks in either direction straight from the door. The house is in the heart of Newquay town centre so everything is pretty easily walkable from the house. Find lots of great shops and restaurants right on the doorstep, as well as large supermarkets to stock up on everything you need. Head just outside the door to Counter Culture for evening tapas and wine, Pavilion for tasty baked treats and Box & Barber is 10 minutes away for breakfast! There really is so much to offer in this bustling coastal town.
Getting Around:
Newquay has some of the best travel connections anywhere in Cornwall. Trains operated by Great Western Railway run all the way from London Paddington into the centre of town, with only one change at Par. The station is then about 5 minutes drive from the house and there are taxis available outside. Alternatively, it is a short 10 minute walk with the beach and sea alongside you most of the way!
Other Things to Note:
The apartment is centrally located in Newquay in the hustle and bustle of the town. This means all the local amenities are literally on your doorstep, however, it also means there is potential for noise. So please be aware of this before booking and feel free to reach out with any questions.
