"Lovely cottage with all the amenities that we required. Situated in a quiet village within close proximity of Penrith. Nice welcome box with tea, coffee etc and even treats for the dog. Good offroad parking at the back of the cottage and an enclosed front garden. Stayed for a week, excellent location for exploring Hadrians wall, lake district and yorkshire dales. "

"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "This was lovely place to stay - we were in the last two 'legs' of a 1300 mile road trip to Scotland (and back!) - possibly the best, as it matched all our needs for a quiet evening, in a beautifully-appointed, clean ensuite room, and a restful comfortable sleep! Our hosts, Mark & Paula were welcoming (tasty cookies!), quiet and unobtrusive (checking what bed configuration - king or twin - we wanted in advance), serving our preferred choice of tasty breakfasts at our room 's table & chairs....
