"When we arrived we found that the property was not cleaned properly. There was a plastic cup on the porch, dirty kitchen floor, empty water bottle in the bedroom, and dirty beds. Lights didn’t work in one of the bedrooms and we couldn’t find the thermostat as it was too hot during our stay. We tried to contact the owner many times and left a voicemail but they were completely unresponsive despite sending automated messages to us about contacting them if we needed help. "The staff were friendly and accommodating. They assisted us by ensuring our booking was not canceled on the day of our arrival, even though we hadn’t checked in yet. We had opted to pay at the property, but hotels.com wanted to charge our card before we arrived or cancel the room. While this issue wasn’t the property’s fault, I mention it to highlight that they made the effort to keep our room reserved. Very nice!"
