On a side note please do yourself a favor and stay away from LEO on the beach outside the property - he blatantly took money from our entire group of 12 people (and called half way through our day to PayPal more so we could continue) He did not give us the excursion he promised, said he would refund money daily, but every day was a different excuse as to why he still hadn’t. Upon further review, he has done this many times! He used to be with the hotel, or so he said- I can see why they wanted him gone!!!"

"We have stayed with Rio Guanacaste in the past and enjoyed our stay and loved every part of it… However, this day was slightly different, although the entertainment staff was awesome, and the events at the hotel from shows to the bar and pool stuff was great room service was very reserved on filling the minibar and coffee in the room… I feel we had to ask continuously for that to be done and the servers at The main buffet we’re very standoffish and didn’t really do much ,This was the same at the buffet by the pool, where in the past they were always right there to greet you and wait on you from cleaning dishes to refilling your drinks… I didn’t need it done, but it was nice to have this service in the past and I used to tip well for it, even though it wasn’t the same this trip we still tipped and just hope it gets better in the future, especially for an all inclusive"
