Ruby Emma Hotel Amsterdam By IHG

"The hotel was lovely, modern and clean. The only 2 things I would mention is in the 3 days we were there the room wasn’t cleaned and cups etc were not changed. The door was knocked on day 3 but we were resting so just asked for some towels. The other is that the room temperature doesn’t go any lower than 18, which sounds ok but it is quite warm and would be good if you could lower this further, as the windows don’t open. Otherwise we would definitely stay in a Ruby hotel again."

"Room was clean, quiet and functional. Window looked out onto a central air shaft so kept the curtains closed. Check-in was high tech and do it yourself, so fortunately a member of staff was there to help with the process. Breakfast was an extra €25 per person, a bit pricey but a good selection and filling. Location is excellent- central Amsterdam and close to important tram lines. For the price charged it would have been useful to have a mini fridge in the room (which would have eliminated the need to pay for breakfast). Room had functioning a/c."

"Was happy to receive a complimentary room upgrade when I arrived, the room was exceptionally clean, wonderful shower, comfy bed, blackout curtains, and the room was quiet. Only small complaints were that the bathroom didn't have great lighting, the toilet paper was quite rough, and 1 of the 2 elevators was out of service for my entire 13 night stay. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay."

"The external appearance of the hotel does not do it justice. It is perfectly situated right next to the station and even though our room was above the rail tracks there was no noise whatsoever in the room. As a base it was perfect."

"Location was fantastic! Room was clean, comfortable and the size was fine. The check-in staff were nice. Breakfast was okay, didn't realise upon booking that it's not a buffet but the same set menu every day. The breakfast attendants weren't really present either (so I couldn't ask them to fill up the empty tea selection on both days). I would stay here again but wouldn't bother with the breakfast inclusion."
