"The bed was comfortable, but the place is not really clean. The hotel looks like it needs a serious makeover. Can’t complain for $78/night though— you get what you pay for."

"I arrived at the hotel at 4:30 PM and checked into the hotel. As soon as I walked into the room I noticed the bed had no sheets or blankets or pillow cases on it. The room was clearly not ready. I walked back to the front desk and the front desk staff called someone on his cell phone. He made us wait for almost 20 minutes while housekeeping cleaned the room instead of just checking us into another room that was ready. The room wasn't in the best condition. The tub cracked every time we stepped and had a big dip in it, and felt like it was going to fall through the floor at any moment. The shower head was cracked and water sprayed everywhere when running the shower. We didn't see any bugs, so that's good. the continental breakfast was mediocre at best. The waffles were probably the only edible thing there. The eggs and bacon and sausage was horrible. The muffins were cold and sticky. This hotel served its purpose, but was far from 'comfort'. Don't have high expectations, let alone mid expectations."

"The cleaning staff worked really hard to keep this place clean and took a lot of pride in that work…towels shaped into roses and all of those extra touches. This is a VERY old property that is doing its best to update without the budget for a remodel. If you stayed in motels in the 80s and 90s, you know. Then walls, thin ceilings, and dated. But I stress clean and good location. The people staying were mostly all working groups that loaded up trucks in the morning. Friendly, not scary. The parking lot is gated, AND it is an open air parking lot so you can get a trailer in. We came in and left when it wasn’t full, so it was easy to get out by turning around. On a busier day, it may take a spotter. It is downtown center…walking distance to 4.9 star restaurants. I did not use or ask for any amenities. So I don’t know."

"Bed was above average as hotel beds go. They popped a $20 a night parking fee on me at the desk, which was pretty lame. The desk people were pretty average, even slightly annoying and unhelpful. The "Fitness Center" was about 90 percent cardio with very little else. They could have easily taken out half the cardio equipment and replaced it with anaerobic machines. On Expedia it said it would be $139/night but it ended up being $200/night. Next time I stay in SLC I'll probably be staying elsewhere. Marriott downtown probably."

"Overall a good stay. Location is good and within close proximity to many of SLC's attractions. The hotel is a little outdated and needs renovations but if you are looking for a simple stay with no frills, this is the place. Parking is good, complimentary breakfast is solid with good options, pool was cold but hot tub is nice. The gym has a concept2 rower which I used multiple times. Overall a good stay. "

"Pros: clean room looked nice Cons: rooms are crazy small and roof is slanted so if you are average male height you will slam your head into the bare wood ceiling if you forget in the middle of the night (I did). When we arrived the room was literally not figuratively 98 degrees. No windows and zero airflow. It was a sauna. There is NO parking in front of the building the parking that is within a block is mostly 2 hour business parking. It’s in bad neighborhood mostly industrial. I had to park 2 blocks away to check in. Then drive to an open 2 hour spot being held by wife drop off bags. Then drive to another spot 2 blocks away. There is a bar on sight it’s VERY close to the rooms. I had to walk through people playing cornhole to get to my room. Would not recommend "
