The bedrooms have a really relaxing feel with very comfortable beds, the shower room was lovely and warm and working exactly as it should, these are probably the most important things for us when we book a stay away, a good shower to help relax and a great nights sleep, and the owners have got that perfect here. The only thing we felt wasn't ideal for the dark winter was the living room light is on a censor and switches on when it detects...

"This is an elegant and comfortable country house in a tiny village just outside York. It has two large, elegant sitting rooms and a panelled dining room, perfect for formal dinners. We loved the house, its rambling corridors, comfortable bedrooms and elegant and fascinating objects and furniture. Perfect for a country house weekend."
