"I drove up to this hotel at night. The parking lot is dark and trash about and there seems to be a lot of not well cared for cars there. I wondered if I was in the right place, but I was. Maybe they were having a bad day, there was a festival that weekend.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. I forget his name but he was a young guy and was better than he needed to be (give him a raise!). I was very tired, so I quickly went to my room and tried to fall asleep. There was a lot of ambient noise - there seemed to be a lot of young people. I put on a podcast and was fine. The room itself was older with low quality finishes, thin walls, some of the charging ports didn’t work, but it was good enough. The pillows were very soft.
I didn’t use any of the amenities and had to leave for the airport at 5AM, so didn’t try breakfast or anything. In the morning, my car was still there unharmed and off I went to the freeway, which is right there.
Overall this hotel is basic but fine. Staff is great and that makes up for a lot. Price and location are good."
