Overall great stay. The gym was a bit small and it needed better barbells at tissues to be able to wipe the equipment, however the veiw from it was lovely.

Reception staff were a delight; provided comprehensive overview of hotel and facilities on arrival; very welcoming too; nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. Bar staff amiable and efficient. Room upgraded at no cost which was a welcome surprise. A comfortable nights sleep was experienced in a clean well maintained room. Will definately stay here again. Pleasant stay

Lovely place but restaurant was terrible half the menu not available i ordered fish and chips, the fish was massively overcooked the batter was really dark brown hard to cut into the peas were tasteless the only thing edible was the chips.

The view from the bar of the Humber Bridge and estuary was incredible! No air - con in room, bed and pillow too soft. One of guests in bar/restaurant was swearing loudly, constantly at the top of his voice - very off putting.

Car park rip off

Whilst the Hotel was nice and friendly, I now been sent a car park payment. Which is ridiculous as I definitely log my registration number into the Hotel registration.. BEWARE OF THIS.

You cannot fault the friendly staff absolutely amazing hosts, But room requires an update I had to have a cold shower as no water pressure. When I arrived the room was not cleaned correctly in bathroom as hair and spit was present in the sink. The hotel has amazing views but hopefully I just had an unlucky room.

Pretty poor. Bedside lights not working, bath not holding water. TV remote didn’t work. Beers at bar poor, almost flat. Half the items on the menu missing and very expensive. Breakfast was cold. Stairs leading to rooms 1-18 dirty and carpets ripped. Would not stay again.

We had two rooms , my sister in one and myself and my daughter in the other. Our room was clean and comfortable, my sister's room appeared to be the same on arrival but later on in the evening when she opened a cupboard underneath the hospitality tray she found two half eaten pizza 's in boxes and mouldy garlic bread. She reported it next morning and the receptionist took note and was mortified to hear of it. However on returning from our day out they were still there so she took them down to the reception where another receptionist was mortified as well. She gave us all some tokens for a free drink that evening. We did enjoy our stay apart from that, the breakfast was very good , staff were very friendly and helpful, everywhere else was spotless.

Had to wait some time for the receptionist to come to the desk. In fact the barman had to go find him. When receptionist did get there he spent the whole time complaining the computer didn’t like him. The barman was good and very professional/helpful. Restaurant was unwelcoming so ate in the bar.

The hotel is certainly in need of some refurbishment, a four star hotel that has threadbare carpet in the rooms is a bit on the sad side. The mattresses are hard and lumpy and the rooms are very warm and with limited ability to open windows. Areas of the breakfast dining room could do with a clean, namely the wooden walls the layer of dust and grim was not pleasant. Staff were very happy, helpful and friendly. This was a night away booked using Expedia points so coat is nothing, if I’d paid for it I would have been very upset. I won’t be rushing back.

Would stay again if cheap price

So a mixed review. Pros.. quiet, good gym, comfy bed, only 20 mins from Hull brewers fayre down the road. I got the room for a reasonable price. Manager covering hotel was pleasant. Rabbits running about in garden behind. Plenty of car parking but i believe you usually have to pay for it. Cons... looks run down. Rooms not cleaned. Gym notice saying last cleaned in november, air con didn't work, no hot water in first room given and curtain rail on floor. 2nd room dusty, light bulb missing and shampoo dispenser didn't work. Told staff about issues but not rectified when asked. Was asked to wait 2 see if water warmed up by 6. Wasn't happy so received a new room which was nicer but still not great apart from bed. Room was partially service ie bed made but towels not repalced, dirty glasses and cups not removed and extras not topped up. Mirror broke. I just feel the hotel was going through a lack of leadership or staff. Kitchen staff called in sock etc I believe it was being done up as one floor was blocked off.

Slumber near the Humber

We stayed over for a night on a motorcycle trip. The hotel was perfect for our stay with beautiful views of the Humber from an open terrace at the back of the hotel. The room was nice and quiet with only the rabbits as neighbours. The bed was great too ensuring a good slumber near the Humber!

The hotel reception and bar area is lovely with beautiful views of Humber Bridge, but the rooms are poorly ventilated, no aircon or power sockets by the bed and are in need of a facelift. Aside from that a good bar with terrace, and breakfast are nice!
