"This is a spacious, well placed home right on the ocean with enough space between house and dune and high enough that our car was safe even with some flooding on the street one night. The home was clean and ready for move-in. Kitchen is adequate for most needs, not exceptional but it works for most. Outside shower always a plus. Even had some chairs, umbrella which we did not use but did use the nice beach sifter to snag some big sand fleas for bait, Nice ...would also be good for sea glass and small shells. Did not use hot tub but pool-spa maintenance person kept it up during the first week. View is very nice any time of day. Convenient to most that you will need and of all Hatteras villages shortest drive to Nags Head, Manteo and other popular spots plus perfect spot for nature buffs looking at pea island. From beginning to end Village realty was accessible and friendly whether thru VRBO message board or phone/text which was very helpful due to our mandatory evacuation."

"The house was directly on the beach and was easy to enjoy all aspects of the beach. Walking and enjoying the view without any obstructions, steps leading directly off of the house's deck. Upon our arrival the house was very clean, with adequate house linen and a kitchen that was well stocked for meal preparation. The rental property provided relaxtion, beautiful ocean views and we would not hestitate to revisit this home in the future. All accomadtions that one needs for a great week at the beach!!!!"

"The house was very clean when we arrived! Although there isn’t central air, there are window units in every room making it very comfortable! We had a wonderful time! For those reading reviews for environment - BEWARE OF MOSQUITOES! Bring bug spray! The mosquitoes are prolific right now due to the rain and standing water this time of year. They will bite through your clothes."

"Great location and for driving up or down the OBX. Within close walking distance is basic grocery items, two food trucks and cafe inside the gas station/grocery. You can drive a 2.0 mile stretch to find other locations to eat, shop, grocery, arcade-golf, & rent water vehicles.Log fires on the beach are allowed w/free permit gotten down the street.House is as described but also included 1 beach umbrella & lots of board type games we did not expect to get. The included water items from their partnering outside agency were of great use! Well needed items; beach umbrellas and the sand anchors to hold them down, bogie boards and THE CART!3 negatives were not huge. I am an Airbnb owner, so maybe a little more expectant:- There was no "starter kit" of basics. Meaning that after the visible items were used there were no extra items: toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, I think we had one kitchen dish scrubber but no dish soap. I am used to suppling some extras, & I am used to getting some extras we I rent. Not even 3.00 salt and pepper shakers.- Pans were not great and just shoved in the corner cabinet with the lids scattered. Even back to where you cannot reach them.- Grill dirty with no protection cover. We did not use it.I did get reimbursed for the price to exchange a gas tank. Both tanks were empty and needed for a boil.Overall, I would go back. You will enjoy it, I would recommend this unit for its location, comfort, communication & as advertised!....."
