"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful."

Our first night was a bit rough because there was a gale warning and the wind/water was a lot for these landlubbers, but once the weather settled down and the water was calm, we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the boat. It was incredibly relaxing; communication with our host was fabulous; the area felt safe and was super easy to navigate. Thank you to Gia for hosting us; we'll be sure to recommend and will be back! "Loved being right on the sound! Dog-friendly which was key for us. The place was very clean. Communication was great and response was quick. My husband loved the hot tub! I would suggest new living room furniture as couch not comfortable. Can’t wait to stay here again. Great community activities and even a restaurant which had delicious food. "

"This place is a little gem. Three bedrooms, ALL of which have a king-sized bed! Very well decorated and had everything we needed, plenty of towels to start with. Wish we had discovered it sooner, we’ll stay here again."
