"Relaxing hotel, we were lucky to have a room with a perfect view of the harbour, cozy and friendly bar. Breakfast was amazing good quality food. Highly recommended!"

"Lovely character hotel in very peaceful surroundings. The staff were just lovely , friendly and chatty . Our room was in a good location and it was easy to get to the restaurant , bar and spa . The room was a good size and the towels were nice and soft, the hot water plentiful too. The only slight dent in the room was the condition of some of the fixtures and fittings . The carpet had quite a few stains on it , the shower settings were missing parts and the towel radiator missing coatings ....

"Reception lady was very nice and helpful. She told me about the shared taxi being organised to go to the city for the GNR. Very useful and removed a massive stress. Room very comfortable. Breakfast bar was nice for pre-race."

"Its new and clean and very well thought-out, very quiet and comfortable. The food at dinner and breakfast was very good and also the service with just a couple of minor issues. The biggest concern was the car park at the bottom of the hill, with lots of steps in the dark, wind and rain : not so pleasant. Drop of luggage at the reception is strongly advised."

"Perfect location between Barter Book and the Playhouse with bus stop right outside. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Nice patio outside to enjoy summer evenings. Not fancy, but if your tastes are simple and you want an affordable base from which to explore the area, this is the place for you. "

"All staff were excellent, super friendly and helpful, I'd booked an attic room but seeing my husband on crutches they immediately swapped us into a first floor room which I think was an upgrade as it had a huge freestanding copper bath and Chesterfield sofa as well as a king (or maybe super king) sized bed. Despite the room not having been planned for use, everything was clean and fully stocked which was impressive. Bed extremely comfy, didn't want to leave! Breakfast being included was great,...
