When I got my room the next day Dave took care of all my stuff and moved it to the second floor no elevator just stairs with complete hospitality When I checked in Joel was really helpful with fishing info and made the stay very welcoming. "The Clift Royal Sonesta was a fabulous hotel! The staff were friendly from check-in to check-out, and our room was lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed the drinks and appetizers at the Redwood Room, as well as breakfast at Frederick’s. It was located close to Union Square, many restaurants and the stops for the Big Bus tour. I would stay here again!"

"We stayed in an executive suite which was a bit dated and dusty. Staff was great, very helpful and always available. My only complaint is the elevators. There are 6 yet seemed as if only two worked at a time. Resulted in a long wait with no access to stairs. The good outweighs the bad, I’ll definitely stay here again "
